The right social media management tool for a small agency is the one whose pricing grows the way your client list grows, and which keeps each client's accounts, posts and messages apart from the next. Those two things matter more than any feature list.
This page compares seven tools on how they charge an agency, using each company's own published figures from October 2026. Nothing here comes from a test we ran, and it is not a complete list.
A note on who is writing. WyreIt is our own product, so read our view of it with that in mind. Where another tool is the better choice, this page says so.

Competitor prices and plan details are as published by each company on its own pricing page, October 2026: Sendible, SocialBee, Metricool, Planable, Vista Social, Agorapulse, Sprout Social, Hootsuite. Dollar prices are shown as each company lists them and may exclude VAT. Prices change, so check the page before you buy. This is not a complete list of tools. WyreIt is our own product, and its prices are on our pricing page.
What a small agency actually needs
- Separation between clients. One client's posts, inbox and figures should never appear beside another's. Our guide to managing several clients without mixing data lists what to check.
- Clear ownership. If a client leaves, who keeps the connected accounts, the scheduled posts and the history?
- A second pair of eyes. Some way for work to be checked before it is published, inside the agency or by the client.
- Team access that follows the work. A freelancer on two accounts should see those two and no others.
- A price you can predict. You need to know what the tenth client will cost you.
How the pricing models differ
The table's last column is the one to read. Each tool counts something different, and that decides what growth costs.
- Per workspace or brand (Sendible, Planable, Metricool): the bill follows your client count.
- Per profile (SocialBee, Vista Social): the bill follows how many social profiles you manage.
- Per user (Agorapulse, and also Sprout Social and Hootsuite): the bill follows your team size.
- Bespoke (WyreIt Agency): the price is agreed with you. You get a figure shaped to your clients, and you cannot see it on a page beforehand.
The seven tools, one by one
WyreIt Agency (our product)
WyreIt gives each client business its own workspace, with its own connected accounts, posts and calendar, inbox, analytics history and AI context. There are two ways to set a client up. In the client-owned model the client has its own workspace, pays WyreIt directly and authorises the agency to manage it. In the agency-managed model the agency's contract funds the workspace, so the client needs no plan of its own to start. An agency can mix the two.
The agency's access is a permission on the client's workspace, not ownership of it. In the client-owned model, if a client leaves, the permission is removed and the workspace and its history stay with the client, who can authorise another agency into it. An agency-managed workspace is handed over by asking WyreIt. Our guide to client-owned and agency-managed accounts explains the choice.
Agency HQ sits across the workspaces. It has a portfolio overview, client assignments, team invites and roles so members see only the clients they are assigned to, an activity feed, internal approvals where another team member reviews work, per-client publishing figures side by side, and a per-client history of reports. The full description is on WyreIt for agencies.
What it does not do yet. Clients cannot approve posts without a WyreIt account. Client reports cannot carry the agency's own branding as white-label reports. Handing an agency-managed workspace over to the client is done by asking WyreIt, not by a button. And the Agency plan has no published price or checkout: it is agreed case by case. WyreIt publishes to Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Bluesky, and does not publish to Threads, Pinterest or Google Business Profile, which rules it out for clients who depend on those.
Sendible
Sendible is built around workspaces, with a set number of social profiles in each plan: 1 workspace and 6 profiles on Core, 3 and 18 on Plus, 7 and 42 on Premium, and 15 and 90 on Elite. Users are unlimited on each. White label is listed as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise. It publishes prices in pounds, dollars and euros, but we could not read the current figures from the page, so they are left out. The trial is 14 days. Best for: agencies who want one workspace per client and unlimited team members.
SocialBee
SocialBee's Pro plan is $99 a month for 25 social profiles and 5 workspaces, with 3 users per workspace. Its agency plans are Pro50 at $179 a month ($149 on annual billing) for 50 profiles and 10 workspaces, Pro100 at $329 ($274) for 100 profiles and 20 workspaces, and Pro150 at $449 ($374) for 150 profiles and 30 workspaces, each with 5 users per workspace. Best for: agencies who want a published price they can plan around.
Metricool
Metricool prices by brand. Starter is from $20 a month on annual billing for up to 5 brands, or $36 for 10. Advanced is from $53 for 15 brands, or $85 for 25. X is a paid add-on at $10 a month per connected account, which adds up across clients. Best for: agencies who sell reporting and have many small clients.
Planable
Planable is priced per workspace: $33 a month on Basic with 60 posts a month and 4 social pages, or $49 on Pro with 150 posts and 10 pages. Users are unlimited. Its plans are built around approvals, with required approval from Pro and multi-level approval on Enterprise. The first 50 posts are free with no time limit. Best for: agencies whose sticking point is getting client sign-off.
Vista Social
Vista Social's Professional plan is $99 a month, or $950 a year, for 15 social profiles. Advanced is $199 a month for 30 profiles and Scale is $449 for 70. The trial is 14 days with no card. Its page gives two different user counts for the same plans, so confirm that before you buy. Best for: agencies who count profiles, not clients.
Agorapulse
Agorapulse charges per user, from $79 a month on its Standard plan with 10 social profiles (see its pricing page for billing terms). Its Custom plan lists unlimited profiles. The trial is 30 days with no card. Best for: a two- or three-person agency with a short client list.
When another tool is the better choice
- Your clients must approve posts themselves, without an account: look at Planable. WyreIt does not offer that yet.
- You need white-label reports with your branding: Sendible lists white label as an add-on on its higher plans. WyreIt does not offer it yet.
- You need a published price today: SocialBee, Metricool, Planable and Vista Social all print theirs.
- Your clients rely on Pinterest, Threads or Google Business Profile: choose a tool that lists them. WyreIt does not publish to them.
- You are a large team inside a marketing department: Sprout Social or Hootsuite, both priced per person.
WyreIt's other plans, for the agency's own accounts
WyreIt has four plans. Standard is £19 a month for any 3 platforms, with 3 extra profiles, the inbox, analytics, and AI caption and reply drafting. Pro is £49 a month for all 7 platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Bluesky), with 4 extra profiles, WyreIt AI, Autopilot and 1,000 AI credits a month. Creator is £79 a month with 3,000 AI credits and AI images. Agency is priced by conversation. The price is for the account, not per user or per channel. There is a 14-day free trial with no card needed. The trial does not include any AI.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best social media management tool for a small agency?
There is no single answer. If you price by client, a per-workspace tool such as Sendible or Planable keeps the sums simple. If you want a published per-profile price, look at SocialBee or Vista Social. If you want each client to own its own workspace with your agency holding a permission on it, that is how WyreIt Agency works.
How much does WyreIt's Agency plan cost?
It has no fixed price. It is agreed case by case, with the client count, AI allowance and price worked out with the agency, and there is no checkout for it on the pricing page.
Can clients approve posts in WyreIt?
Not without a WyreIt account. Approvals in Agency HQ are internal: another member of the agency team reviews the work, and the decision is recorded. External client approvals are listed as not yet available.
What happens to a client's data if they leave the agency?
It depends on the tool, so ask before you sign. In WyreIt's client-owned model the agency's permission is removed and the workspace, with its connected accounts, scheduled posts and history, stays with the client.
Do these tools charge per client?
Some do. Sendible, Planable and Metricool count workspaces or brands. SocialBee and Vista Social count profiles. Agorapulse, Sprout Social and Hootsuite count users.
